My husband loves to Duck hunt down here in the south, and one thing he loves more than duck hunting is to spend time with our sons hunting! This was taken Christmas Eve 2006 morning @ 5am; as my sons were preparing to go on a rice field hunt for geese! As a mom, I was so excited to be able to capture the moment as they were all quiet and focusing on what they needed to take with them as dad was getting last minute things done. Hmmm! I wonder what was going through those minds!
My husband enjoys the sport for so many reasons, one is the sport of hunting and making the shot, but more so seeing that beautiful sunrise early in the morning, just him and God's creation! Then to be able to share those moments with our sons is priceless!
They sit and talk and share memories of years past and wait on the next flock of birds to come in. My heart is tickled at the thought of them spending precious time together doing something they all consider fun. (Not to mention eating the harvest!) Thankyou God, for allowing my family to find common interest and share them with each other, and Thankyou for the memories that are created with each moment of time. Time and Life are both precious! And You hold them all in the Palm of Your Hand, so we give You all the Glory!
P.S. This was another successful hunt for them, in fact this hunt provided our New Year's Eve meal! Mmmmm it was good! Care for the recipe just ask!
